It does, particularly heavy goods vehicles. The effect of a heavy goods vehicle is 500 or 1,000 times greater than the effect of a car, and that is just down to axle load. Where we have high volumes of heavy goods vehicles we have greater wear resulting but depending on the pavement construction, motorway pavements are better able to handle that level of wear and tear. It is one of the factors; it is not the only one.
