Matters relating to Tracker Mortgage Examination and Consumer Protection Framework: Discussion
9:00 am
Mr. Ger Deering:
It probably would have been lower because at the time the decisions were coming pretty quickly. There is a significant difference if somebody is put back on a tracker rate within a year. It is still wrong, but that is very different to the length of time people have to wait now. I do not think we are comparing like with like. My impression is that the compensation was less, but issues were rectified more quickly.
