Matters relating to Tracker Mortgage Examination and Consumer Protection Framework: Discussion
9:00 am
Mr. Fergal O'Leary:
In terms of the financial services sector, we will direct anybody who contacts us either to the ombudsman, with which we have a very good relationship in terms of how our helplines operate, or to the Central Bank in the cases involving tracker mortgages. However, as mentioned, we have an economy-wide remit. Most people who contact us do so with questions on consumer rights in particular situations and we have been contacted in regard to every conceivable item that may be purchased in any market.
