Status, Treatment and Use of the National Anthem

Mr. Conal Kearney:
Senator Frances Black asked about the words "Sinne Fianna Fáil". The name "Fianna Fáil" came into existence in 1936, whereas the translation "Sinne Fianna Fáil" was written in the 1920s. If we have a song and a party calls itself by a name in the song, does that mean we have to go back and change the song? Perhaps it should be the other way around.
