With known consigners, there would be a site visit by the IAA and the aviation security would be inspected. The security programme of the entity would need to be seen and there must be a security manager for the entity. There are various elements to be considered, including how goods are packaged and sealed, as well as how they are transported and the various aspects of the supply chain. The question of whether they are secure all along the supply chain to the aircraft would be considered. This happens as a one-off at the start but it is repeated for renewals of the approval.
