At this stage I do not anticipate that there will be any carryover. We have spent €5.6 million of the €13.5 million which was carried over from last year. On the delay in spending the balance of that money, progress on the National Archives was slower than expected. It was allocated funding but has not been able to move the project on as quickly as it would have liked.

The National Concert Hall, which was allocated funding to install a new lift and staircase, also experienced some unexpected delays. The Glasnevin chapel was part of the carry over funding. It was refused planning permission by Dublin City Council. As the Deputy can appreciate, that has held up progress in the project. Regarding the carryover money, there are a number of emerging pressures which I hope to able to address with the capital funding which will not be spent in those areas for which it was intended because of the delays they have encountered.
