To clarify it further, the Workplace Relations Commission was set up by the State to assist people who have issues that they want to take further. There are a number of bodies that assist employees in this area. What has happened is wrong and I have arranged a meeting with the heads of the theatres to discuss it. I am also working with the Abbey Theatre and the chairperson of the Arts Council to put in place a consultation process around this issue because I want to hear what the problems are and to work with the sector to resolve them. This is unacceptable behaviour. A cultural change is required and that change has to come from the ground up. We have to facilitate and encourage people to engage and do the right thing and to treat people with respect and dignity.
