It will have to be funded from the multi-annual payment to be made to Iarnród Éireann by the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport.

That is the only feasible source of the money. We are at a stage, in October, at which the allocations for 2018 have not been fully clarified or put in writing to us. I am very confident, however, that the engagement we have with the Department is such that there is an understanding of the need.
