Engagement with the Central Bank of Ireland
9:30 am
Professor Philip Lane:
Once an individual gets to that point, the information will be transmitted. We have developed expectations about what banks tell people at that point. We have also said in our report, and in our statement this morning, that even in those cases where a bank is deciding not to include a cohort, we will be requiring them to write to that cohort. This will be a major signal that there is a dispute and that the individual should consider going to the ombudsman.
