On behalf of the committee, I thank all of the delegates for being here today. We believe everybody on all sides needs to see justice and truth. It is unacceptable to us that people have had to campaign for so long just to get information. This is a topic on which the committee is now focused. As I am sure the delegates are aware, the focus of the committee earlier this year and last year was on Brexit but we are now focused on legacy issues. As I said earlier, this is the first of a series of meetings on this issue, following which the committee will decide on what actions needs to be taken. As for the issues raised by Ms Urwin on the reinstatement of meetings with party leaders and in regard to the letter issued, I understand that working is going on in that regard within the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The committee secretariat will follow up the matter and get back to Ms Urwin.

We propose to hold all of the meetings and to then revert to people in regard to where we are going. It is important we are fair to everybody involved. I thank the delegates and all of those in the Public Gallery. This is not an easy task for families and we appreciate them coming here today.
