If a lie is mentioned, it is the Chairman's duty to make sure that word is not used in a committee of the House. I did not tell any lies and I do not intend telling any lies. I intend to try to speak about what I feel. I want to speak like others without fear of intimidation and bullying and being called a liar. It is profoundly disturbing that this is going on and it is not easy. If we leave, we are being watched by people and we cannot leave. That is ridiculous. Either we are going to discuss the issues here, as Professor Binchy has said, or we are not.

I am shocked at some of the treatment Professor Binchy has got today. He is well able to speak for himself, and I appreciate that, but that is not the way to treat a guest. It is not a hanging that is going on here. It is crazy stuff.
