Bigger studies, such as the Driving Under the Influence of Drugs, Alcohol and Medicines, DRUID, study across Europe, with which Ireland was involved, assessed people and found out what proportion of drivers had drugs in their system. It has been ongoing for quite a while in Ireland. We know that cannabis-type drugs are the most common type of drug found in Ireland.
