Mr. Hickey was looking for a board member of the Irish Sports Council at the time and he got it. What kind of message was that delivering to us? The committee needs to understand the history, the International Olympic Committee, IOC, and the Olympic charter. Those were the difficulties with which we were dealing at the time. Mr. Hickey was president of the European Olympic committees and was on the IOC executive. It was not easy to stand up to that organisation.
