I can see elements of this, but I would like a comment on the role of CAMHS in the context of people presenting at accident and emergency departments. A situation arose in Cork recently whereby if a child had presented to either accident or emergency department in the city at, CUH or Mercy University Hospital, there would have been no CAMHS available to them, which is an issue of significant concern in Cork. I am sure it is an issue that probably arises generally. Are there significant shortfalls?

Recently, I had an interesting conversation with somebody working in the Bessborough Centre. He felt the area of infant mental health was quite underdeveloped.

It is not something I am particularly familiar with. Is it dealt with in A Vision for Change? Is it an area that requires further development?
