Mine is more an observation regarding Dr. Shannon's report, namely, that I welcome the information he has given on rank-and-file gardaí with whom he has been working closely. Given the challenges the Garda has had to go through over the past six to 12 months, it is imperative that we, as a committee, highlight that. We see from Dr. Shannon's report and his audit that rank-and-file gardaí are doing the job to the best of their ability and with the best of intentions. We should highlight that rank-and-file gardaí are out there and that the majority are doing the job for the right reasons. That needs to be highlighted. I welcome that from the report. It is one aspect that struck me straight away.
