Perhaps the statement is in a synopsised form. The intention is that the commissioner or chairperson of the commission could appear before any Oireachtas committee. This would include if or when the commission had a separate Vote and it would appear before the Committee of Public Accounts as well. I can confirm that this provision is not intended to refer to a single committee. Perhaps when the Bill is drafted, it will make that clearer.
