Deputy Daly is gone but I wish to comment for the sake of the record. This is not our first time appearing before the committee to talk about the proposed ombudsman for education. It would have gone to our board of education. It would also have gone to the Church of Ireland Primary School Management Association executive. Recently, it came up in the informal discussion groups at our conference. I note the Deputy used the word "resistance". It was not resistance. People just were not convinced of the necessity for it.
