If the employer does not do so and inspectors check the situation after a month then an employer can be prosecuted or reported to the Labour Court. Employers will be given some time to ensure that an employee has the information. All of us must ensure that employees have the information within five days. We think it is not a big thing for the employer to do. The employer must provide 15 elements within a two month period. We are saying these five points are basic issues. There are no cost implications for the employer. Some employer representatives have argued that five days is too short a period. Again, the period has come from the consultation process. I must emphasise that we consulted ICTU and IBEC and found all of the submissions very useful.
