Artists rely upon audiences of one kind or another. If one is an artist in a city the opportunity exists to be taken into various different venues to do work and be paid for work. In somewhere like Manorhamilton an artist might get a gig in the Glens Centre once a year but will not get more than that. There are fewer opportunities to make money from performing or showing.
