On the products that might be available under the access programme, the HPRA report recommends that authorised medicines are considered in the first place. That would include Sativex. Epidiolex is currently undergoing clinical trials. Other cannabis products can be allowed under the access programme. That is one of the issues the reference group is examining but it is going to take a few months to come to conclusions. Cannabis products other than the authorised medicines are certainly not ruled out. A consultant would have to make the relevant recommendation and approve the treatment.
