There have been reports that individuals from the Department of Finance or Revenue Commissioners have done preparatory work to cater for the fact that it may be necessary to have some locations along the Border at which vehicles travelling up and down, be they goods vehicles or citizens' cars, will be checked for the contents. There has not been a crystallisation of that information in any way but it is understood that a preliminary process has started within the Revenue Commissioners on the selection of sites.
