Section 13 provides for ad hocdeclarations by public officials and lays out procedures where a public official has actual knowledge that he or she is a connected person. It looks at whether they have a declarable interest or hold any office for which they do not get paid but which could be perceived as a conflict of interest and makes clear that in these cases, an ad hoc declaration must be made.
