That captures where were are in this argument with regard to the banks. When Mr. Kissane and others appeared before the committee they expressed a view that the Central Bank is the appropriate forum as the guardian of our financial system and regulator to investigate these matters and to hold the banks to account. I advise the Governor's team that thousands of people are relying on this and they still have faith that the officials in the Central Bank will sort out this, but the clock is ticking. I ask that they do not betray that faith and to ensure they hold the banks to account and get redress for these families.
