On 27 February - I think that was the date - we received some initial information from the Medical Bureau of Road Safety. I asked it for a sample of its database to see if it would be of use to me in comparing what we had vis-à-viswhat was on the bureau's system. On 28 February I went to the Medical Bureau of Road Safety and met its statisticians and analysts. I could see from what they were able to show me on the day that they had some very useful data. On 8 March I wrote to the bureau formally seeking a copy of the data. On 10 March I received a comprehensive database from the bureau which I gave to my analysts in order that they could start reviewing and analysing what we had.
