There is no requirement on them to repatriate the profits. They could invest in energy, in buying Supermac's, or whatever they want. There is no requirement on them. Sometimes it is put out that they are taxable in the US. There is no requirement on any US firm to repatriate its profits after it has paid tax to the headquartered member state.
