Chairman:This meeting has been convened to consider the Health Insurance (Amendment) Bill 2016, the purpose of which is to amend the Health Insurance Act 1994 to specify the amount of premium to be paid from the risk equalisation fund in respect of certain classes of insured person from 1 April 2017; to amend the Act to further specify the circumstances in which a registered undertaking may terminate or refuse to renew a health insurance contract; to make certain other amendments to the Act; to make a consequential amendment to the Stamp Duties Consolidation Act 1999; and to provide for related matters. I welcome the Minister and his colleagues. As there is only one amendment, the issue of grouping does not arise.
