I would like to clarify one particular point. Deputy Brassil referred to the morale of nurses working in the University of Limerick Hospital, many of whom I know because I represented them for many years. An article in the media dated 9 November refers to nurses going home in tears because of unmanageable workloads. I suggest that the nurses in the University of Limerick Hospital are not different from nurses across the State in that their morale is on the floor, which we heard directly from the INMO.
