It should help with the funding situation. In respect of the merits of a technological university and the creation of a new type of university, it is not dissimilar to the existing universities. The rationale underpinning it is quite different so I would not like to see it purely in financial terms. Technological universities stand on its own merits but their creation should assist with the funding situation.
