I thank the witnesses for their powerful contributions, which highlight that the Oireachtas has failed Travellers. It would be wrong and dishonest to claim we will fix the issue but I hope we will try to do so. We have not thought enough about this issue. Sometimes we listen to Travellers and are horrified. We ask how we can treat a group of people like this in our own country but when we leave the room, we move on and do other things because there are many other problems and issues. I hope this will change and members will be able to help.
