I want to start with the assertions the gentlemen who are welcome have made against others in the course of the proceedings this morning, some of which I want to explore with them. At different points of his opening statement Mr. Soffe questioned the credibility of the Comptroller and Auditor General. It echoed what Mr. Frank Daly had to say when he appeared before us. Mr. Soffe has been a public servant for his entire career and is aware that the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General is a constitutional one. He is also aware that the Comptroller and Attorney General and his staff carry out their work without fear or favour and that at all times exercise due diligence. Will he confirm that he accepts this to be the case?
