Today, we are dealing with the further scrutiny of EU legislative proposals and a review of the methodology for calculating national economic output employed by the CSO. At its meeting on 29 September, the joint committee agreed that EU legislative proposals COM (2016) 551 and COM (2016) 557, relating to the collection of statistical data on social issues, including gender violence, warranted further scrutiny. The CSO has expressed reservations on these proposals.
