Addressing inequalities is a key priority, but there are also significant ethnic issues. Travellers have a life expectancy of ten to 15 years less than the rest of the population. Good health policy is about anti-poverty measures and employment measures as much as, if not more than, health services, but I was asked to discuss the health service aspect at this meeting. Health services have a role to play.
