11:00 am

The answer is that practice varies between insurance companies. Certainly, some insurance companies have established that their claims experience arising from older cars has been very poor and, therefore, their risk appetite for older cars is not great. At the same time there are other insurers who have a less conservative risk appetite. There is a market, even for older cars.
