Page 10 of the council report states that the economy is operating close to potential in 2016. How does the council come up with that conclusion? The recent Department of Finance report indicates that we are still building fewer than 1,000 houses per month. We have extraordinary infrastructural deficits. For example, Dublin Airport must be one of the few airports with 25 or 30 million passengers that does not have a railway. We have major towns that are not well connected to Dublin. All of that is without even considering deficiencies in health, disability services and a range of infrastructural gaps. How can the council say that it is operating in that way? Where is the council getting that figure from?
