It would put us in a much stronger position. On the question of timing, one issue is the question of when the numbers become available to those that produce them. Companies have to submit their final corporation tax returns nine months after their year end so if a company has a year end of 31 December, it is not due to submit its final tax return until the following September. Companies have not even submitted their final returns for December 2015 yet so Revenue cannot collate the data.
