We looked at what other countries were doing and we saw some great research from Creative Scotland, as well as creative learning plans which include education. A lot of reports call not only for a focus on education but on the attributes underpinning learning, such as cognitive abilities, confidence, motivation and problem-solving, which are all related to the arts. These underpins our call for a cross-cutting approach and for all these to be put together so that arts are part of everything. We would also like the current arts and education policy to be implemented.
