I move amendment No. 8:

In page 7, between lines 39 and 40, to insert the following:

“(5) The Minister shall, in relation to a credit guarantee scheme, after consultation with the participating finance provider concerned, and by notice in writing given to the provider, specify the maximum value of financial products that may be provided by that provider pursuant to qualifying finance agreements—

(a) entered into in any year, and

(b) to which guarantees under this section apply.”.

These amendments apply to a new subsection 5 being inserted which is designed to achieve certainty on transitioning between years. This also necessitates the re-numbering of the following sections. I commend these amendments to the committee.
