I drew attention in the audit certificate on its financial statements to several supernumerary staff, surplus staff in the institute, following on from the amalgamation and said that since that amalgamation, the total amount of salaries paid to those supernumerary staff was €627,000. In the year 2013-14 the amount paid to those staff, which is included in the overall figure, was €216,000.
