I think other members of the board kind of disagreed with me about this, but, being a simple-minded person, I rationalised it to myself on the basis that I was there to look after the public interest, the shareholder in the bank was the Minister for Finance. The Minister for Finance has a duty to the public interest and in a sense kind of embodies the public interest, so the objectives of the Minister for Finance satisfied the requirements that I look after the public interest.
