But I would reiterate that if the purpose was to somehow bring an agenda in respect of this bank to the attention of the then Minister for Finance ... or, sorry, in July 2008, the Taoiseach, I had privileged access to Brian Cowen because of our friendship and if it was a case of me wanting to, on behalf of the bank, influence Brian Cowen, either during his time as Minister for Finance or his time as Taoiseach, to take a particular view on Anglo Irish Bank, I could have gone to see him, walked into his office ...
