In a communications situation like that, the Taoiseach would normally engage directly with the Minister for Finance and then with the Government press secretary and the Finance press officer. I think that there was probably some ... I believe the Ministers concerned did indicate that they had made some efforts to get a steer, so to speak, but I wasn't privy to that.
