I mentioned earlier the potential amalgamation of the technological universities. We had spoken about this prior to the witnesses coming into the committee rooms. The publicised cost, between Dublin, Munster and the south east, has come to about €3 million. I refer to the costs of professional fees and pay associated with these processes. We have planned to ask Mr. Kelly to attend. There probably will be a time lag over the summer to allow the report to be issued. Basically, he will appear before the committee, potentially with the presidents of the Waterford Institute of Technology and Carlow Institute of Technology.

I know why there were some delays even though this was promised to be finalised in April of this year. It is now almost the middle of July. I know the Minister has the report but can Mr. Ó Foghlú give us some kind of timeline for the coming weeks? The delay has become an issue; that is the way I would put it to the witnesses considering what is resting on this.
