However, the counterpoint, and I have the advantage of not arguing from a Department perspective now, is that the purpose behind the 25 point bonus was specifically to increase the uptake of higher level maths. It has done that. If we spread that around a range of other subjects, we would mute that impact. If kids want to get the extra 25 bonus points, they do higher level maths.
