It was unusual to me. I've lived most of my life in the private sector where those words wouldn't be used. So I found it somewhat strange and I had to occasionally bite my tongue in going about my business. I always have a preference for an organisation that's much more fast moving and doesn't rely on formality and secrecy to the same extent.
