There were significant limitations to what could be done once we ... once we joined the single currency but you have to look at the overall balance ... the balance of advantage that comes to the country in this ... in the overall context. Undoubtedly it was a different system with different powers but the judgment at the time was this, on balance, was better for the country and I agree with that view.
