As a result of the 2003 Act, there was an overall board, an overarching board, but the board of the Financial Regulator had its own responsibilities under the Act and fulfilled those responsibilities in accordance with the provisions of the Act. It had its own board, and its own board made decisions in relation to financial regulation.
