It is a recently established group. The aim was to bring together senior management team level people from each of our divisions - the five service divisions, including mental health, primary care, acute hospitals and so forth, as well as the finance, ICT, procurement and shared services divisions - in order that we could have a central senior team to lead the process of ensuring we could problem resolve some of what were, in fairness, long-standing issues that had come up over a number of years in internal audit reports, reports of the Comptroller and Auditor General and internal reviews. They are issues we need to tackle and include procurement, tax, cash handling and salary overpayments. The aim is to provide national leadership and engage the organisation fully in dealing with them. At one of its first meetings there was a significant conversation about tax.
