We will have an election at the end of this year.

Political parties should also be defined by the commission because a party is a group of people joined by common policies. Is an alliance of like-minded people who agree a common policy on nine issues but not on a tenth a political party or is it a group of Independents working on every issue bar one? As political parties have changed, I would like to see a definition of what "independent" and "alliance" mean. As Deputy Catherine Murphy said, the issues of funding and so on must be examined.
