Mr. David McWilliams:
I do not think one needs to be the Minister for Finance to doubt the regulator at that stage. Let us think about what has happened. The bank regulator has not seen the biggest bank catastrophe in a western democracy in a long time. Did Deputy Pearse Doherty doubt him? Brian Lenihan was saying that he was not too sure. A lot of people could not see how someone could miss this. It was more that he was incredulous.
