This part of the meeting has been convened to consider Committee Stage of the Garda Síochána (Amendment) (No. 3) Bill 2014. I welcome the Minister of State at the Department of Justice and Equality, Deputy Dara Murphy, and his officials to the meeting. We have received apologies from Deputy Mac Lochlainn, for whom Deputy Jonathan O'Brien is substituting. Deputy Wallace is also in attendance.
